Sweet article! I would look into Pinecone Research. They have been a good source of Amazon gift cards for me.

You should probably have a checking account, at a minimum. It’s much easier to use out in town than a PayPal account!

She has heart problems, so I can’t get out as I would like. (I go online a lot to browse and shop). I have bad credit and no checking/savings account. Is PayPal a good option for me?

The $600 a year threshold is an IRS rule. In fact, any of these apps/sites are legally required to report your income if you earn above $600 from them.

I ran into that issue this year while trying to save for Christmas. So, fair warning if you join up on InstaGC, try not to make more than $600 a year unless you want to deal with getting a 1099-MISC.

MyPoints and PrizeRebel are also excellent options. I double-checked and no SSN is required, so that’s an added bonus. MyPoints gift cards only take a few days to get to your email and it’s completely legit, but I’ll have to get back to you on PrizeRebel since I’ve only been using them for about a couple weeks (and have yet to cash out there). They DO have PayPal cashouts, which is nice, especially if you’d prefer cash instead of gift cards.
