I do not have a crystal ball nor do I have a quick solution for the current inflation and while government spending is definitely not advisable during high inflation and increasing interest periods, it should be carefully administered during all periods. Stimulus checks, unfortunately (I am not debating whether they’re useful or not) go to increase the government’s deficit, ahem, spending, therefore they cannot be the cause and the solution of a problem at the same time. Going instead on the supposed tools to combat inflation, my guess is that the people interviewed were provided with a list of options to choose from; I do not see among them any real tool providing effective results against inflation, and my list would have been way different.
