I make a little money by doing Swagbucks but it’s definitely not a get-rich-quick thing. It helps pay for my fun things: a little extra for vacations and it also helped me pay for a photo booth for my wedding. Some people can do a lot on it but I find making $0.30 to a $2.00 a day fine for me when I am saving up for a vacation. I have $130 saved. It took a couple of months and about half an hour’s time when I am chilling out at home.

Regarding starting a blog, I will give one piece of advice that made all the difference for me. It’s never too early to monetize. Place those affiliate links wherever you can starting from your first blog post, buttake care to paste appropriate links. If you are writing about travel don’t advertize online courses, join something like Travelpayouts and insert search forms for plane tickets to the countries the post is about. Or car rentals there, or GetYourGuide widgets. You get the idea.

And make sure to minimize effort. Don’t register at every affiliate program individually, just join a network (e.g. Travelpayouts). It will have all those individual programs anyway.
